The new Chuzhou Library project is located in Nanqiao District, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province. The base is adjacent to Zhongdu Avenue to the west, Longpan River to the north, and the planned city park to the south and east, and the Chuzhou Municipal Affairs Center across the mountain.
Through the research of the base environment and modern library concept, the design adopts the concept of "breaking the cocoon into a butterfly", combining the use of functions and modeling needs, the project is divided into two building units: the north side is the cocoon hall, and the main function is art The center and the children's library; the butterfly house is located on the south side, and the main function is the library. The two units are connected by a corridor on the third floor. So there is the scene of this fluttering butterfly resting by the lake, and the architecture and the environment can complement each other.
The design work of this project started at the end of 2015 and was almost completed at the end of 2018. Looking back from the conceptual scheme to the blueprint, and then to the actual presentation of the scene, it is also like a process of turning a cocoon into a butterfly.
